NGFA's 109th Annual Convention

Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego, CA
March 30 - April 1, 2005

Hotel Alert!

Because of heavy pre-registration for the NGFA's convention, the headquarters hotel - the Hotel Del Coronado - is sold out of sleeping rooms. However, the NGFA has a list of nearby hotel alternatives, so if you have difficulty obtaining a room at the Hotel Del - or if you have a reservation at the Hotel Del that you're now not going to be able to use - please contact NGFA Meetings Manager Stacy Royston at sroyston@ngfa.org or by calling (202) 289-0873.

Spouse Programs and Family Activities

As is customary at the NGFA annual convention, an informative and entertaining program is being planned for spouses of those attending convention sessions. And several events perfect for families are being planned. Below is a schedule of events for spouses and guests. Use the registration form to sign up, and plan to bring your spouse, kids, and other guests to beautiful San Diego!

Thursday, March 31

Spouse Program: Spouses signed up for the “Spouse Program” will enjoy a private continental breakfast as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the famous (and mysterious) Hotel Del Coronado and insights on the intriguing personalities and events that have occured there.

Behind-the-Scenes Zoo Tour: For non-golfers, begin your tour with a private look behind the scenes at the famous San Diego Zoo. Following the tour, further explore the zoo and its new and innovative exhibits.

Sailing on the Aolani Catamaran: Sailing in San Diego Bay, you will enjoy close-up viewing of military ships, downtown skyline and the spectacular Coronado Island Bridge. This is the sailing course America’s Cup syndicates have made famous. (SPACE IS LIMITED TO 45 GUESTS!)

Friday, April 1

San Diego City & Water Tour: Fully narrated city tour, which includes the Historic Gaslamp District, Balboa Park, Embarcadero, and Old Town State Historic Park, as well as a HARBOR CRUISE on San Diego Bay. It’s a great way to see the city!

Beautiful San Diego Bike Tour: This 3 1/2 hour narrated bike tour shows fabulous sites and sounds of San Diego including Balboa Park, Mission Hills, Presidio Park and the Waterfront.

Banquet-on-the-Beach: A party for ALL ages! Bring the whole family to the convention's signature event - this year the Closing Banquet will be a fun-filled party on the beach! Back by popular request, the Surf City Allstars - whose members play with the Beach Boys - will bring to the NGFA convention the timeless melodies and close harmonies that typify the California beach sound. The Allstars call themselves "the best surfin' beach party band around!" So wear your beach party clothes, kick off your flip-flops, and bring the entire family.
