The annual National Grain and
Feed Foundation Classic Golf Tournament this year will be played
at the Patriot Points Golf Club, located only about 20 minutes from the Charleston Place Hotel.
Located across the harbor from Charleston, South Carolina's most historic city, Patriots Point is a par-72, championship golf course with the feel of the great links courses of Scotland.
The layout is set on a secluded peninsula, surrounded by the waters of Charleston Harbor. The ever-changing wind that typically sweeps across the harbor also shapes the personality of the challenge from one round to the next.
Patriots Point is known for the consistent quality of its putting surfaces, cooler temperatures in the summer months and the three beautiful, but challenging, finishing holes.
One round on the harborside links of Patriots Point will confirm its popularity as one of Charleston's favorites. A subtle and rolling course, the Links' pleasing appearance belies its most devilish feature: the winds blowing from the harbor. This factor gives it a certain unpredictability, especially on the 17th, a short par 3 whose green reaches into the harbor, giving golfers a real test for birdie. The constantly changing natural conditions of Patriots Point Links, coupled with breath-taking vistas overlooking Charleston Harbor, provide Low Country golf at its finest – and guarantee another memorable golf experience at the NGFA Annual Convention!
