Registration is open for FSMA training on Aug. 17-19

Registration is open for the NGFA-Kansas State University (KSU) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) training course scheduled for Aug. 17-19 in Manhattan, Kan. CEC 2020 session recordings available

Recordings of all programming sessions are available in the virtual platform for the 49th annual Country Elevator Conference and Trade Show (CEC) conducted this week. While most programming sessions were aired live on Dec. 8-10, registrants have access to the platform and the recordings until Dec. 24. CEC 2020 virtual platform opens for registrants; still time to register!

The virtual platform for the 49th annual Country Elevator Conference and Trade Show opened this week for registered participants. While programming sessions will be aired live on Dec. 8-10, the platform is open for registrants before and after those dates to allow for networking, profile-building, and perusing exhibitor resources and presentations. NGFA reschedules 125th annual convention to June 2021

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 12, 2020 -- The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) today announced that given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it has rescheduled its 125th annual convention to June 2-4 at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, Calif. This decision was made with the health of NGFA members and guests, staff, speakers and exhibitors as the top priority. NGFDS hosts BDT platform training; recordings available

National Grain and Feed Digital Solutions (NGFDS) hosted three training sessions for using the Barge Digital Transformation (BDT) platform on Oct. 21-23. NGFDS has partnered with essDOCS to implement this platform that will digitize barge trading documents, such as bills of lading, so that they may be transmitted electronically – a huge cost savings to the industry. Lacy provides staff support for one of NGFA’s premier member services – its more than century old system of industry trade rules and arbitration that facilitates the efficient marketing of grains, oilseeds and their derived products. She also works on contracting, legal and other related matters.

An Arkansas native, Lacy received her undergraduate degree with a double major in history and Russian studies from the University of Tulsa (Okla.) and her law degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. Prior to joining NGFA’s staff in November 2020, she managed a local business at the Pentagon and completed mediation training required by the North Carolina Supreme Court for those seeking to serve as mediators for settlement conferences and other settlement procedures in North Carolina Superior Court civil actions. She also has worked as an assistant for a law firm in her native state.
