ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 4, 2020 — The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA), its new affiliated organization – National Grain and Feed Digital Solutions (NGFDS) – and technology provider essDOCS will host a preview of the widely-anticipated Barge Digital Transformation (BDT) platform on Aug. 6.
NGFA announced its official partnership with NGFDS to oversee the BDT project on July 14. The BDT project is the massive undertaking underway to provide a platform to digitize the current time-consuming, inefficient and costly paperwork-intensive processes common in the barge trade. In particular, the new platform is expected to digitize the approximated 70,000 to 100,000 negotiable barge bills of lading that NGFA members process each year.
Register to Watch: The Aug. 6 webinar, scheduled for 11 a.m. CST, will provide an opportunity to learn more about this revolutionary platform before it’s highly anticipated roll-out later this year. Register for free.
NGFA staff members and newly appointed NGFDS officers Charlie Delacruz and Mary Hitchcock, along with Brittany Schaefer, NGFDS chairman and logistics manager at Bunge North America, and essDOCS Co-CEO Alexander Goulandris will provide a walk-through of the BDT platform’s key functionality and security measures, as well as updates on next steps.
