NGFA and the Soy Transportation Coalition, with support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service, held the Ag Transportation Summit July 25-26, 2018 at the Westin Crystal City in Arlington, VA. The 2018 Summit focused on “Connecting Growing Supply with Growing Demand” and featured panels highlighting port and rail issues, speakers from USDA and Surface Transportation Board (STB), and several “Innovation Sessions” focusing on new and emerging technologies. After the Summit concluded, USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service, in cooperation with Washington State University (WSU), Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension (TAMAE), hosted an “Agricultural Transportation Infrastructure Workshop” on the afternoon of July 26.
