128th Annual Convention Tour

Wild Florida, to benefit the National Grain and Feed Foundation:

Orlando isn’t exactly the middle of nowhere, but it does offer an opportunity for exploration. Nearby in the headwaters of the Florida Everglades there is a pristine paradise to be surveyed! Leaving the tourist district of Orlando behind you will journey to explore part of a lush nature preserve. During the drive, an ecoguide aboard the motor coach will provide details on Central Florida’s natural ecosystem. An airboat is an ideal way to travel the undeveloped area, so head for the pier upon arrival at Wild Florida. The local inhabitants are often visible along the shoreline and native birds can be heard when the airboat slows. Following the tour, get closer to a Florida icon during a Gator Demo, complete with a souvenir photograph of you holding a young reptile. Before concluding with a BBQ Basket Lunch, stroll through the Wildlife Park to view a few more exotic residents. Wild Florida provides an unforgettable day spent in the original landscape of Orlando, so climb aboard the airboat explorer!

Kennedy Space Center, to benefit the National Grain and Feed Foundation:

Embark on a journey of discovery as you leave the hub of Orlando and travel towards the headquarters of modern exploration! As you arrive in Cape Canaveral, the home of the Kennedy Space Center, you see the towering outline of a rocket coming clearer into view. The Visitor Complex is ready to satisfy your cosmic curiosity with live action shows, interactive exhibits, and films at the IMEX theater. During your visit, discover the story of history making achievements by scientists and astronauts. Go on the bus tour to the Apollo/Saturn V Center, which continues the narrative of American bravery with the history of space exploration, along with details on the day-to-day workings of Kennedy Space Center. Back at the Visitor Complex, explore the various souvenir shops for astronaut gear to take home. The moon may never look the same after seeing it through the eyes of astronauts. Head back to Orlando feeling inspired and awed by human accomplishment!
