ARLINGTON, Va., July 3, 2025 — The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) applauded Congress for including a slate of important agricultural and tax provisions in the recently approved budget reconciliation bill. The package, dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” was passed by the U.S. Senate on Tuesday and the House of Representatives today.
The legislation includes several provisions endorsed by NGFA and its members, including permanent extensions of the Section 199A deduction and bonus depreciation, enhancements to Section 179 expensing, and the continuation of the 45Z renewable fuel production tax credit. It also doubles funding for the Market Access Program (MAP) and Foreign Market Development (FMD) program, while maintaining strong support for crop insurance, working lands conservation, and market-oriented commodity programs.
“We commend the agricultural champions in both chambers of Congress, as well as the Trump administration, for working tirelessly to produce a final product that reflects the real-world needs of American agriculture,” said NGFA President and CEO Mike Seyfert. “From tax policy to risk management and trade promotion, this bill supports the essential businesses that store, ship, and market the crops produced by our nation’s farmers.”
The bill now heads to the White House, where President Donald Trump is expected to sign it into law.
