ARLINGTON, Va., August 8, 2026 — The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) applauded the Senate’s action to extend critical federal authorities, including the U.S. Grain Standards Act, through December 11, 2026. Maintaining these essential programs provides much-needed certainty for the grain and feed industry and helps ensure the continued, efficient inspection, movement, and marketing of U.S. agricultural products. NGFA appreciates Congress’s bipartisan commitment to preserving these vital authorities while work continues on longer-term solutions.
